Our farm is located in the beautiful Southern
Missouri Ozarks. Raising Dorpers has been an extremely
enjoyable experience for us. These animals are very friendly and
personable. We are continually striving to upgrade the quality
of our flock and have traveled to several farms to bring in superior
quality Dorpers.
We feel the Dorpers are the sheep
of the future. They are low maintenance, highly productive,
nonselective grazers, have excellent carcass development, possess
internal and external parasite tolerance,
and require no shearing. In addition, the ewes are excellent
mothers and have a very calm disposition. Three lamb crops in
2 years can be readily achieved with an average of 2.5 lambs born
per year per ewe.
Our flock is guarded by AKC registered Great
Pyrenees. We bought several Great Pyrenees pups when we began
raising Dorpers, and liked them so much we decided to raise them for
our future needs as well as offer them for sale.
